Hey Amanda. I can't believe I'm about to say this, but for the first time in a decade, April 12th arrived and I didn't think about that terrible day. When I woke up the next day, I felt really terrible about it. Like really bad. But then after thinking about it more, I started to understand what people mean when they say time heals all wounds. To be honest, this wound will never truly heal, but I think its starting to sting a little less. I will always keep you in my thoughts. You impacted my life more than you ever could have realized. I am even typing this message in my sick new Elton John shirt! My love of him traces all the way back to us singing his songs in your car and believe it or not, I started taking guitar and singing lessons not too long ago. So wherever you are, I hope you are keeping your ears open because one day, I will sing so loud in your honor that you will be able to hear me across the dimensions. Happy birthday. <3

You even took a vacation with our family, fitting right in as if you were a LaRoche. But, I think it was just the fun, every-day things you and Lindsay did together that made your friendship so special. You maintained that friendship for many years until, eventually, you chose separate paths. But, even though you didn't see each other much in the past few years, that special bond lived on. Just as our memories of you will live on in each one of us. You have a beautiful soul that has touched us deeply. May you now be at peace. We will never forget you. I have countless memories with Amanda, but what I will never forget is the way she made you feel. Amanda found the good in people and saw everyone for exactly who they were. To the Baird family, Our deepest sympathy! Time helps but does not really heal. A parent having to bury a child is the hardest thing to do. I saw my parents bury my brother when I was 38 years old and he was 40 years old. Much harder on them than burial of their parents.
